Scan Unic has developed a new Hand Disinfector product, DECON, that kills more than 99% of bacteria, viruses and fungi in less than 20 seconds with ozonized water.

DECON automatically detects the hands when inserted in the disinfection chamber, ozonized water is sprayed on the hands and a display count down to zero seconds. A paper towel is dispensed for drying the hands

Hospitals all over the world have problems with Hospital Acquired Infections = HAI. A HAI typically causes on average 4-5 days of extra hospital stay for the patient (costing 480-2200 €/day in Denmark). Some patients die, typically if already weakened by disease.

Why alcohol disinfection is inefficient against viruses
